This series explores the liminal space between reality and imagination through the iconic form of the rabbit. Using ink underpaintings with selective glazing, I've created a visual dialogue between what emerges and what recedes.
The process mirrors the rabbit's nature—appearing and disappearing. By applying satin glaze over backgrounds and gloss over the subjects, I emphasize the rabbit as both physical creature and symbolic messenger moving between worlds.
Each piece in this series captures a different aspect of rabbit-ness—from alert stillness to fluid motion—while inviting viewers to follow these guides into the spaces between the tangible and ephemeral.
