Every year we have the most beautiful roses blooming at the rose garden in Manito park in Spokane, WA. This one caught my eye over some of the others because it was so radiant.

This scratchboard piece was created with a medical scalpel blade and transparent acrylic inks. It took many hours and layers of color to achieve the luminance of the rose as it looked in person.
