This painting is inspired by my grandmother, who always believed that any problem could be solved over a cup of tea. She would tell me, "Sit down, take a breath, have a sip, and the answers will come to you." Her wisdom has stayed with me and this piece is a tribute to that comforting ritual of tea and reflection. Each teacup has its own unique style and colouring just like the different personalities that gather around a table to share, listen and find solutions together. Nestled in their perfectly fitted slots, they are both individual and part of a whole; a visual reminder that sometimes, the right company and a warm cup of tea are all you need to set things right.
