Bridgette has been drawing and painting since childhood. She began her artistic career in Deland, FL ; in a warehouse full of furniture. She learned to paint on cupboards, birdhouses, desks and pool tables. She also had the opportunity to paint murals. This was an incredible experience for growth in her work.

  In 2010 Bridgette illustrated her first children's book, "The Giraffe Who Walked to Paris" written by Dirk Wales. A few years later she illustrated a second children's book, " The Adventures of Peanut and Penelope" authored by Dr.Winnie King.

 Since then, Bridgette has shared her love for art and creativity with children by teaching classes at the South Lake Art League gallery in Clermont, FL . For five years she laughed with them and showed them they were capable of much more than they realized!

Bridgette now lives in North Carolina with her husband and family. 
  Inspired by new surroundings and her passion for the pastel medium, she strives to paint daily. "My focus is the spirit of each subject.  Through light , color , edges and marks I hope to give wings to their emotion; offer a connection with the viewer. 

Bridgette has had her work accepted into several prestigious shows both national and international.

She received an Honorable Mention for her portrait of 'Hannah and Hopps' 2025 PPS MEMBER SHOW

She received the ALINE ORDMON MENTORING AWARD for her painting 'The Pointer Sisters' in 2024 ON COMMON GROUND: FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA North Carolina's STATEWIDE COMPETITION.

 In 2022 Bridgette became  an Associate member of PSA (Pastel Society of America). She is a member of  PSNC ( Pastel Society of North Carolina) and currently co-President. Bridgette served as President  of PPS ( Piedmont Pastel Society) 2023-2025. Piedmont Pastel Society dissolved with the larger  Pastel Society of North Carolina in December of 2025.
