After thirty years as an advertising illustrator and children’s book artist, I traded deadlines for paint. My background in illustration gave me a solid grounding in realism, but my work has gradually shifted toward more expressive, painterly interpretations of the landscape and nature.

I work primarily in oil with cold wax, drawn to trees, weathered structures, and ordinary places that hold stories. I also publish Field Notes, a small handmade publication combining artwork with brief observations from the studio and the field. I have exhibited since 2007 and have been a member of Daily Paintworks since 2012.
