I am an east coast pastel and oil painter returning to full-time productivity 

I have been painting all of my life and have studied painting for the last 30 years in one fashion or another. 

I strive to create a piece of art the defines the individuality of my subject through accurate drawing and rendering, and at the same time create an exciting interplay of the medium.    

My first love is portraiture - but I view everything as a portrait.  I enjoy the challenge and thrill of capturing the likeness of all of my subjects whether it is an apple or a child.  I feel I strike gold when that something extra is achieved and a bit of the essence of that person, place or thing is recognized by others.  This is pure joy.
