Jennifer Sparacino

Jennifer Sparacino is a Canadian painter known for her vibrant, contemporary interpretations of animals, landscapes, flowers and the natural world. Working primarily in acrylic, she combines expressive, angular brushwork with vivid colour, layered patterns and rich surface texture. Her paintings balance the recognizable with the unexpected, finding personality and beauty in familiar subjects and everyday moments.

Born in Vancouver and raised on a wooded rural property east of the city, Jennifer developed an early connection to animals and nature that continues to shape her work. Time spent exploring the surrounding landscape encouraged her to look closely at colour, movement and the small details that give a subject its character.

Jennifer graduated from Capilano University’s IDEA program in 2007, where she studied fine art, illustration and graphic design. After working professionally as a designer, she began painting full-time in 2011. Her distinctive visual language reflects her design background as well as influences from Fauvism, twentieth-century Colourism, contemporary illustration and modern collage.

Through bold colour and expressive brushwork, Jennifer celebrates the character, beauty and quiet joy she finds in the natural world. Her original work is held in private collections throughout Canada and beyond.
