WORK IN PROGRESS

I'm starting over. I began making stuff in earnest in college and learned a lot....including taking myself too seriously.  After school, I began teaching art to young children in public school, where much of my creativity was happily (for the most part) funneled. After 25 years, I retired and here I am learning to paint (instead of print). I LOVE IT! As Paul Coelho said, "If you're brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello".

I am exploring daily with small paintings and meet monthly with a mentor group on Mastrius. Not sure what direction I want to take, so following my instinct and curiosity. I have time, support and solitude---all in a delicious mix.

I was raised in the midwest and can attribute my love of art to my mom, who was also an aspiring artist until military life took over with 5 kids underfoot.  And, like me, she picked up her brush later in life and did some beautiful watercolors that grace the walls of all of our homes.

My husband and I are settled in Sheridan, Wyoming in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains.
