Hi! My name is Amy Rabon and I live in Auburn, Georgia. It’s an hour north of Atlanta. We have two traffic lights, a police force (oddly enough), and lots of goats and cows! I’ve been here for almost 10 years now.

I love to paint and draw. Something goes electric inside me when I do it, talk about it, or learn about it. Thanks for learning more about me and how I got here!

I’ve been lucky to live in many places. I was born in Northampton, Massachusetts, spent my childhood in Villanova and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, spent one wonderful year in Ketchum and Sun Valley, Idaho, attended high school in Marin County, California, and graduated from Penn State with a degree in graphic design before settling in Atlanta, with a brief stint in Tallahassee.

My corporate art career started at Genigraphics, a division of General Electric Company. As a computer artist, I created speaker-support visuals. I did the same thing at The Coca-Cola Company for 10 years. Then, I sold artist designed computer graphics to corporations. My clients included Turner Broadcasting, The Cartoon Network, and UPS.

I started old-school painting when I moved to Tallahassee for a job. At night I took painting classes at LeMoyne Arts. However, I did grow up with the smell of turpentine  and the magic of kneaded erasers. My mother was an all-around artist. She illustrated, painted, drew, and sculpted. My sister taught studio art and art history. These days she is an imaginative and edgy ceramicist. I am proud of her!
