Do you see in the shadow, that this little fella has his lil' tongue sticking out? And I have seen several photos of him and it is still out! So stinkin' cute! I was talking to my daughter about little foal tongues and how there is nothing more tender. I remember getting to touch one and noticed how there was no texture, just silky smooth, as brand new as anything in nature could be. Very very sweet. This is the colt, Neptune. Already nicknamed Neppie of course. And he is here with his mother, Gabby, she is in the back, and with them, his father, Willie. Willie and Gabby look incredibly alike. Gabby has the most glorious mane in the Pine Nut Mountains, in my opinion. And Willie, is the stallion who is smaller than every single other stallion around. He is not aware of this. He never shows that he feels short-changed in the least. He is loved and respected by all. I would say he is doing quite nicely for himself. Not many babies are born in the Pine Nuts, because there is a 97% effective birth control program for them. And it is done to keep the over-all number of horses low enough to be able to keep the government from coming in and committing the horror of rounding up our precious wild ones.
