The Erie Canal turns 200 in 2025. This is lock 7 in Niskayuna. Lock 7 on the Erie Canal, known as Lock E7, was built between 1907 and 1908 as part of the enlarged Barge Canal project. The construction of the north lock wall segments was completed in September 1908. To find more about Lock 7 visit http://alloveralbany.com/archive/2011/04/19/erie-canals-lock-7 I have little experience painting architecture, but to celebrate the bicentennial of the Erie Canal I decided to give it a try.
