I chose to title this painting, "Surfacing", because of the actions of this beautiful mammal and because this is my first painting in a long time. Last September I had rotator cuff and bicep surgery on my right arm (and I'm right handed!). The recovery process has been long and challenging and it's not over yet! Thankfully, I felt up for playing around with some paint this week and was able to complete this piece. Yay! I'm really looking forward to spending more time in the studio soon!
