This piece was awarded "Best of Show" in the ART ABOUT TOWN juried art exhibit in Tulsa Oklahoma and is currently on exhibit in the 101 ARCHER GALLERY located in the Tulsa arts district. The painting shows the view from Main and 5th street which was formerly known as Bartlett Square. Looking west from this corner is a view of the historical Mayo Hotel. I was inspired to paint this scene when visiting the area one evening at the perfect moment when the atmosphere was just right to cause the setting sun to make the whole sky glow a gorgeous yellow. I hope you enjoy this scene as much as I do. This painting is oil on a 2 inch thick canvas with the scene continuing around the sides so it looks good with or without a frame.
