I went down into the woods in Tullahoma, Tennessee and sat beside this little stream. It had rained quite a bit the day before and the water was high and moving fast on this gray winter day. I sketched it out in pencil and then applied the ink followed by the watercolor. I tried to capture the feel of the swiftness of the water, the denseness of the woods and the quiet mood of my isolated location.
