I painted this one up at Wolf Ridge with our pack of 7th graders this week- it was fun to have an audience and my act of painting made more of them willing to pull out the watercolors and paper I'd brought along. So they joined me in painting in the sunshine through the giant windows looking out at the cold blowing snow! This is a photo Duane took at the MN Zoo last April, the older otter reaching down to the younger one- I love the open paw and the muted neutrals of the water in this one!
