My focus is on the capture of the sensation of light alongside the interplay of surface and depth. The drama of the light is the primary subject. I like the mundane subject matter or this view from Blackfriars station south along the tracks but primarily it is a vehicle for capturing this intense winter sun spread over this complex web of diagonal compositional elements. I feel that a good outcome for my work is when I can capture the rhythms and dynamism of my subject, with the light as a unifying presence, and with the greatest economy and freedom.
