This painting is part of the “Voiceless” series. The title touches on how flawed cultures and traditions dictate human condition. The artist was told as a child that “kids and fish don’t have a voice.” Later in life she experienced domestic violence and that led her to believe that the voicelessness didn’t stop at childhood. Using this symbolism, she now creates portraits of women-fish who evoke power through silence and beauty. This painting was accepted to a juried art exhibition at Milan Art Gallery at Sarasota, Florida in December 2025. This painting is part of the “Voiceless” series.
