After decades of quiet, determined growth these agaves have burst into glorious bloom! My plein air friends and I have been making a pilgrimage to this spot to capture their brief but spectacular show (agaves bloom only once, then die.) This is the Carquinez Strait shoreline at Glen Cove in Vallejo, California.
