Every year these gnarly old almond trees spring back to life with clouds of white blossoms. I've painted them so many times they feel like old friends. This is Nortonville Road, a quiet vestige of ranch country on the outskirts of Pittsburg in Northern California. Acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord Panel, 16" x 12" in a maple floater frame.
