A quick (15 min) oil study/ demo for students at one of my Plein air workshop. A few of the students had never worked in the field before. They really needed to be shown the importance of doing quick studies when working Plein air. By laying down the essence of a scene quickly, and without fuss, you achieve the most effective and satisfying way to portray the overall feeling of the day, and the landscape.
