I was with my painter friend in Port Townsend, Washington painting live for a few days in August of 2025. When we arrived at this boat yard, my friend jumped out of the car grabbed her gear and set up in front of two large boats. She forgot to close the back of her car in her excitement of the scene she chose so I closed it for her. This was just before sunset. The lighting was changing fast. After looking around and taking a few photos, I decided it was time to choose a spot or I would miss the light all together.I chose this run down ol' girl. She seemed to have had a great life and that caught my attention. Once the Emily Jane is repaired, she is surely going back out on the seas to continue making fishermen fall in love with the adventures she provides them.
