The riotous reds and oranges of Vine Maple add an explosion of color to fall in an evergreen forest, where the trees are all green except for some Big Leaf Maples which turn a golden yellow. I began this painting as an 'en plein air' work in acrylics when I was camping this fall. I added the details to it in my studio with oils.
