Escalante Canyon was breathtaking at anytime of day but particularly in the morning. This study was done in the parking lot of the coffee shop that overlooks this (which I ate at several times during my stay and highly recommend). The scene just goes on and on for miles into the distance. Down below is a glorious expanse of Cottonwood trees that were just starting to turn in the Fall air.
