Media: Oil on upcycled wooden panel

I had so much fun capturing the beauty of this splendid fish; blending the deep blues and greens and adding my colours to bring it to life. 🐠 I painted it on an upcycled piece of wood which was once part of a wooden trunk that has been in my life since the late 80s! It was such a joy to breathe new life into this piece of wood and the addition of a lime wash and some fisherman’s rope gives it the rustic/vintage feel that I was after.
