I did this figure painting in oil a few years ago from a photo reference that I found on Croquis Cafe website. I really loved the pose of the model who reclined in a subtle contrapposto, with a contemplative downward gaze. I enjoyed creating the versatile form with energetic expressive brushwork that’s visible to the eye.
