Iceland is one of my favorite places in the world, and Icelandic horses are my very favorite breed. This painting developed out of photos and sketches I made when I was on Iceland a few years back. What I'm interested in is trying to express the connection between the horses and the landscape in Iceland. I think that worked out really well in this painting.
