This is an oldie but goodie. Painted during the Harford Plein Air, years ago. I hiked in to get to those falls, well over a mile. As I was completing the painting, I realized that no one could understand how huge the boulders were. Just then a hiker, in black gear, walked up and stood there for probably 10 or 15 minutes, just looking at the water! Couldn’t believe my good fortune! Painted him in as fast as I could! I hiked the painting out in 2 trips. One trip with just the painting. The second trip, to get my gear. On the way back, I was nearly run over by a half dozen horses!
