Media: Printmaking Laser image with encaustic wax on BFK Rives archival printing paper. Image size is 7" x 5".
Each print is pulled by hand, no two are ever exactly the same.
(Note, the black surround is not part of the print, only used for photographic purposes.)
Size: 7x5 in
This is an encaustic monoprint using the same image, in reverse, of my encaustic piece titled New York City Fire Escape #9. Each image is one of a kind. First, the laser print is created on thick archival printing paper. An encaustic monoprint is achieved by melting encaustic wax on a hot plate, lying the paper face down on the wax, burnishing the paper, and carefully removing. The image itself is 7" x 5" and can either be mounted and framed or matted and framed.
