$130 for FRAMED piece. The Rock of Cashel, located in County Tipperary is a medieval castle. The Rock of Cashel was the traditional seat of the kings of Munster. In 1101 the King of Munster, donated his fortress on the Rock to the Church. The picturesque complex has a character of its own and is one of the most remarkable collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe. This encaustic piece incorporates a toner transfer and pan pastel. (Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
