$125 for FRAMED piece. I found this image carved on a stone pedestal outside a Franciscan Church on the island of Guidecca, a part of Venice, Italy. I couldn't find any information about it but thought it was quite interesting, particularly being part of the church. Was there some old legend about Mermen in the church's history?This is an encaustic incorporating stone spray paint and a toner transfer.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
