Media: The encaustics are done on encausticbord (by ampersand) which is a prepared hard board, 1/8" in thickness.

$120 for FRAMED piece. This encaustic is a silhouette of three friends sitting on the beach, chatting. It was a chilly June afternoon in Massachusetts when I saw them alone on the beach. Had it been a hot summer day I'm sure the scene would have been quite different! This encaustic incorporates a toner transfer.(Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.)
