Bump, bump, bump that long ride to school. We all remember the hard seats, smells and the noise other kids made. After school the ride was the same - even if the ride was short it seemed to take forever. That was what I was remembering when I was painting this boy so busily engrossed reading his comic. I was attracted by the light hitting his puffy jacket, his 'cool' three finger gloves and the way the light bounced all over his face and parts of his clothing, reflecting the yellow-orange into his face.
