WRAPPED IN BLUE This Mexican woman was working in modest surroundings carding and spinning wool. She had her head wrapped in a dark blue scarf and the look on her face was so compelling I wanted to paint her right away. This is an original oil painting, painted by me, DJ Lanzendorfer, 14” x 18”, oil on linen and is unframed with free shipping included. The reference for this painting was a family photo (slide) taken in the late 1940's – 1950's. I am painting a series of indigenous people of both Mexico and the American Southwest from this vintage resource. Although this painting is sold unframed, I have included an image of it in a frame so you can see how it will look.
