This young Navajo girl, dressed in dark blue cotton velvet was standing in front of her summer Wikiup. I loved the smile on this girl's face - it just makes you want to smile along with her. I hope I was able to capture that smile for you in this painting. This painting is painted by me, DJ Lanzendorfer ,it is 14" x 11", oil on linen and is unframed with free shipping included.
The reference for this painting was a family photo (slide) taken in the late 1940's – 1950's. I am painting a series of indigenous people of both Mexico and the American Southwest from this vintage resource.
