Early in the morning the men looking for daily work gather in the courtyard of the church. The overseer arrives and choose from among the men for that day's work. The men who were chosen would enter into the church courtyard and wait for the daily blessing from the priest. This man, head bowed and thanking God for the day's work, is being blessed. This painting is painted by me, DJ Lanzendorfer, and is 16" x20" , oil on linen. This painting is unframed with free shipping included.
The reference for this painting was a family photo (slide) taken in the late 1940's - 1950's.
