11-16-21 warm-up
Today’s painting is actually a monotype, printed with acrylic paint in lots of layers on a gelli plate. This is an addictive process, with lots of rejects. I added just a touch of white acrylic marker on top of the print. It just needed some bright spots- or I should say circles.
I like to do small warm-up paintings before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. This original 5x7 monotype is printed with acrylic on top of card stock paper. It’s matted with a backing and slipped into a protective sleeve. It’s ready to pop into a standard 8x10 frame.
