2-12-21warm-up
Day 12 in the #28FebruaryFlowers challenge. The prompt today is poppy- yay! Poppies are one of my favorites- especially Icelandic Poppies. I’m slowly getting back in the painting groove and my process seems to be paint more realistically then I can feel informed enough to branch out and abstract things. When you’ve been painting as long as I have these familiar patterns seem to emerge.

I like to do small warm-up paintings before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. This 6x6 canvas panel can be hung as is, or you can pop it into a 6x6 frame.
