2-15-21 warm-up
Day 15 in the #28FebruaryFlowers challenge. The prompt today is Peony. Lots of texture here….why? Because I messed around with an idea yesterday and put tons of collage layers down. It didn’t work yesterday, but today, it made a great textured surface to paint on. I love peonies. Thanks @amanda_evanston for the reason to paint one.

I like to do small warm-up paintings and drawings before a painting session. They loosen me up and get me ready to dive in to my day in the studio. This 7x5 painting is painted on a wood panel and ready to hang. The sides are painted navy blue.
