This dog(a blue heeler?) was definitely interested in whatever was hiding in the clump of red weeds! I did this painting in thick oil paint on a 10x8 masonite board. I like using thick oil paint as it gives paintings a luscious texture that can’t be replicated in a print. This painting is unframed but could easily be framed by placing it in a standard photo frame with the glass removed as shown in the second photo.
