I consider time of year-early January-midwinter-and some days do seem bleak!! I did this painting in thick acrylic paint on a 10x8 in masonite board. I usually paint in oil paint but am experimenting with acrylic and finding that it looks much like oil if I add modeling paste to the paint to give it a thicker consistency. I’ll definitely go back to oil but it’s fun to try something else occasionally! This painting is unframed but could easily be framed by placing it in a standard 10x8 frame with the glass removed.
