Captured this view with my plein air group at a fellow painters house in Newport, NC. It was an overcast chilly day and in the background is the Newport River which feeds into the Bogue Sound near Beaufort NC. Did most of the painting on site and finished it up in my studio. I was fascinated with this old weathered tree which looked like it had been through many storms and windy days and was still producing green leaves! Thanks for taking a look!
