I am drawn to the everyday beauty found in simple familiar objects and this painting celebrates the vibrant colours and the textures of the ingredients that can "add some spice" to our lives. I especially liked painting the old worn metalwork which adds another dimension to this work, a well used intricate spoon and plate, maybe passed down through generations. My art is a tribute to the sensory pleasures that connect us reminding us that even the smallest elements can add depth and meaning to our daily lives.
