Crows are very underrated birds, often seen as a pest that scares off smaller garden birds, but carrion crows are some of the cleverest, most self-aware birds out there — they can use simple tools to get food, they hold grudges against humans who wrong them (you have been warned), and they are even capable of 'metacognition' (thinking about their own thinking)! Essentially they are little goth geniuses with wings.
