I saw this kingfisher on a trip to Tokyo (hence the Japanese title) and she sat patiently on this rock for at least 15 minutes while I captured various angles. If I'd had painting gear with me I probably could have painted her from life! By the way, you can tell she's a female by the (very subtle) orange markings on the underside of the beak.
