While exploring the Long House Reserve last week, I came across this group of wood sculptures planted in a rough circle in the woods. The individual pieces are bisected by a pathway, which leads the viewer through the middle of the grouping. The artist, Fitzhugh Karol carved these pine logs and arranged them to look like a group of magical creatures meeting up in the woods. I kept thinking of Harvey, the six foot rabbit, and Alice in Wonderland. The feeling was playful and grand.
